It’s a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together” …I read that once and am lucky enough to say I am living those words. Over the past 6 years since I graduated college my life has had it’s up’s and down’s and the photographer and person that I was 6yrs ago is lightyears away from who I have become today as an individual and as a business owner. I’ve traveled across the world, purchased a home, and I can now add being my own full-time boss to the list.

Today I’m saying goodbye to a company that I never in a million years would have thought I’d have had the pleasure of working for. A household name around the world, Hasbro Toys. For the past four years I’ve gotten to know Hasbro as a company and have made a Hasbro family of my own. I’ve not only enjoyed working for them as a company but have gained more than a handful of my best friends that have become irreplaceable.
But today I am joining the ranks of the full-time business owners! Something that I once thought was a far off pipe dream has become my reality. Stephanie Vegliante Photography has tripled it’s business since 2016 giving me the freedom and luxury of becoming my own full-time boss where I am able to do something that I love every single day.
Without my friends, family and all of my clients, I would never have been able to accomplish this major jump. To some, their business/career is just a job, but to me photography and my business have become and integral part of who I am and something I strive to improve on every single day. Talking with brides about the most exciting day of their lives, giving them ideas, helping them find the best fit and seeing them beam as they marry the loves of their life is something you can’t put a price on. Meeting a newborn just days after they are born and being trusted to capture them as perfectly as their parents see them is nothing short of an honor (even if I sometimes have to remind myself to take deep breaths).
I can’t express how thankful I am to each and every  person that has encouraged, helped, guided, and also tolerated me on those crazy days when I have wanted to rip my hair out, scream, and throw my camera out the window. Never once have I thought to myself “I no longer want to do this” despite how busy and hectic my life has gotten with forty hour corporate work weeks in addition to my personal work. The slew of 5 months straight without a single day off only fueled me to work harder. The reward of running my own business and doing what I love has always been worth every minute and now I finally have the chance to focus all of my efforts on SVP and give my clients the best experience possible with my full attention. That thing I used to hear about called a “work-life balance” has finally become attainable! (Sigh of relief)
So many things are a-changing and I can’t wait to see what the upcoming years have in store. 2017 is going to be one heck of a year!

Boston graced us with the perfect day in the midst of New England’s less than desirable weather. Kelley is so spunky and fun and Phil is her perfect other half, goofy and sweet with his bride to be. Their engagement session on Beacon Hill was a great way to capture them at their first home with it’s quaint courtyard paired with the streets of Boston. Spring is finally in the air and in just four months these two with me Mr + Mrs while we celebrate their nuptials in NH!

2017-05-10_0023.jpgAnna and Tyler brought me back to my home turf for their rustic-chic wedding and it was absolutely fantastic. Having met Tyler briefly in high school gave me the opportunity to see so many familiar faces on his big day. As I walked into their wedding it was as if I was walking into a mini high school reunion! It was so nice seeing so many familiar faces but mostly, it was so incredibly touching to see a couple so in love.

Anna stunned in her Monique Lhuillier gown. Her entire styling was classic, chic, and completely fitting for her personality. All night you could see Tyler beaming as he looked at his bride. Their outdoor ceremony decor was something straight out of a fairytale and we lucked out with 2 minutes to spare before the downpour began after formal photos. The reception decor was the perfect mix of rustic and chic which an abundance of personalized details designed and made by the bride herself (including the cake!). The night was full of laughs, killer dancing, and the sweetest hugs from the newlyweds. Thank you both for inviting me to take part in your special day. I know you have many years of excitement ahead of you!
